What are the entitlements of Australian residents when it comes to IVF treatments?

We currently live in New Zealand and are looking at moving to Australia permanently. We are on the waiting list here for IVF and want to know what the process is in Australia - whether we will have to pay for it all or if the government will subsidise it?

IVF treatment is partially covered by Medicare, which NZ citizens are entitled to. You can learn more about the exact costs covered and the rebates here: http://www.ivf.com.au/ivf-treatment-costs/medicare-q-and-a.aspx
