Would I be able to live in Australia if I have a crimnal record od 1x D.I.C and 1x of shoplifts (under $500) ?

you should be fine. if you are worried, print off a privacy release document via the aussie consulate website, and they will give you an answer. its mainly people who have done prison time and drug charges that dont get in.
