Can my boyfriend leave the country if he's been to jail twice?
My boyfriend and I are planning to move to australia to work but he has criminal convictions, which include d.i.c 3rd and subsequent, assult on a police officer, and caught with marijuana smoking pipe, he has been to jail 2 times but both sentences under 6 months? Help!! cannot find the information elsewhere!

Every situation like this is decided case-by-case. There is still a reasonable chance your boyfriend will be accepted into Australia, but to find out, you'll need to apply to the Australian High Commission, Auckland, for permission to enter Australia.
