I have a NZ passport but a common assault charge, can i still visit Australia for a 3 night holiday if i declare it without a visa or will i get deported on entry?

Hi Joe, not to sure, i'll find out and post later.
But it is best to get legal advice from a lawyer etc before you travel, 
I think if you have drug convictions then forget it.

Any luck with this? I chose not to go but now am hoping to move to australia. still just that 1 charge. Not been in any other trouble.

Im on the same boat, I have a common assault charge in nz, i made it to australia 5 months ago without doing my community work, what will happen??And if I go back to NZ, will I be allowed back in Australia?
