Taking my children to Australia after a divorce.

Does anyone know what legal rights I have to move my kids with me across the ditch? I'm divorved from their father and have been granted day-to-day care of the kids.

You need to get formal permission from the father to move your children to a different country if they are under 16 years. Otherwise you can potentially be prosecuted for abduction if the father doesn't wish them to leave. There is some info about this here: http://www.safetravel.govt.nz/children/abduction.shtml
