Applying for Australian Citizenship
Hi,
I am a PR holder of Australia and unfortunately I have had a bad time and applied for bankruptcy. Now I am eligible for Citizenship. Do you think I may not get Citizenship because of bankruptcy?
Thanks.

To be granted citizenship, you will be assessed for 'good character'. However, from what I can tell, this is to do with criminal convictions and time spent in prison. I haven't been able to find anything saying that bankruptcy would affect your application for citizenship.

Hi varma,
Let me know how you go with the application as I am in the same boat. Thanks
