What are the rules regarding application for permanent residence for families of Australian Citizens?

Hi there, I am an Australian citizen but have lived in NZ for 30 years. I am married, with 6 children and we are considering a move back to Aussie for better work prospects for my husband. Can my husband and children (all currently NZ Citizens) gain Permanent Residence fairly easily? Thanks for your help.

It won't be too difficult to get the necessary visas, but it does take some time. First they will need to apply for a Family visa http://www.immi.gov.au/migrants/family/visa-options.htm This temporary visa will become permanent after 2 years if the conditions are met.
