How do I set up a small business in Australia?
i.e. tax breaks, costs, employment law etc?

It's pretty similar to New Zealand in many ways, but I would suggest reading this site for more information: http://www.business.gov.au/Pages/default.aspx and finding an accountant to help you out with the tax stuff. Good luck!
