My husband is a New Zealander. He is 47 years old, can he still apply for Australian residency? As I heard that Australian Residency will not be granted to people who is over 45. Thanks.

Hi Lei,
I believe it's still possible to get residency over 45, it's just much more difficult. Skilled migrant visas are very difficult to get after this age unless you are classified as having exceptional skills. However, you can still be sponsored by an employer, family members, your spouse (if younger) or get a business migration visa I believe. This is definitely a situation where you need the advice of an expert, so I would recommend calling Australian Immigration or contacting MyAustralianVisa, agents that we recommend.
Cheers, Grace
