Will my baby born in Australia keep her citizenship if I go back to India?
I'm a student in Australia studying for 5 years. My baby is born in Melbourne on 1st January 2009 and I want to know if I go back to India after finishing my study, will my baby be an Australian citizen?

yes your baby is an australian citizen by birth, hopefully youve already registered her/him and they have an australian birth certificate and passport to prove this. if you wanted to, you could apply for joint citizentship as the baby would be an indian citizen by descent - if you are an indian citizen - but that would be from the indian government info.
