How much money do you need to move to Australia?
Is there a minimum amount of funds you need behind you before you move from NZ to Australia? And do you need proof of it?

I'm assuming that you stayed with friends/family Jess? I don't know anyone in Melbourne so I'm hoping that 2500 AUSD is enough? I will be in Melbourne 01/02/11. Hopefully that will cover rent, travel by public transport, food and misc for my first month. I will be joined by a friend a month later. That's my plan for now.
