How to get Australian permanent residency without employer sponsorship?
I am a NZ citizen and have been living for 5 years in Australia. How do I apply for permanent residency with no sponsorship from my boss and not being on the skilled list?

as far as I know, you can't, you won't have the 120 points necessary for pr. You can still get an aussie pension when you retire, just can't get student loans or dole or sickness benefit if required.

the only way you can get permanent residence is to be sponsored by your employer....employer nomination scheme...or as a skilled migrant...these are your only options otherwise there is no other way!! visit the australian department of immigration and citizenship website...you will find everything you need to know there.
