New Zealander who stayed in Oz for one month in1988, am I able to get a RRV?

Hi, I was told by someone on a kiwi/Oz blog that I may be able to get a returning residents visa because I was in Australia on a months holiday for 3 or 4 weeks way back in 1988. I still have my old NZ passport with the immigration stamp on it. I then spent the next 15 yrs in England and then past 10 in France. Can anyone enlighten me on this? Thanks in advance.
