Emigrated at 5 yrs old in 1969 with family and returned to UK 3 yrs later. Can I get citizenship?

Hi, Emigrated to Redclife, Queensland, Australia as a 5 yr old in October 1969 under assisted passage scheme (£10 Poms) with parents and brothers and lived in Australia for 3 yrs. Parents and brothers lived and worked in Australia during this time. A decision was made by my father and mother to bring the family back to the UK for personal reasons in December 1972. Given the age I was at the time, and the decision wasn't mine to make, if I can prove I lived in Australia can I apply for Australian citizenship?? Thanks for any replies.
