If I'm 16 and on a learner licence in NZ. Can I change it for an Australian one even though you have to be 17?

I'm looking to get my motorcycle license in nz next year (as I'm 15 now) and I might possibly move to perth that same year, can I get my nz learner motorbike license exchanged for an australian one, even tho I'll be 16. As I have read you have to be 17 in Australia to apply for a license unlike nz where you have to be 16.
