Applying for Aus HC license before suspension in NZ
I have a current class 5 truck license in New Zealand. I wil be losing it for 6 months on a log book infringement. Can I come to Australia before then and sit my HC license? And once my NZ license is suspended would my HC still be valid to drive in Australia?

Completely different licenses in completely different countries. So in theory yes you could drive in Australia - depends if they check your license situation in NZ.
