Do I apply for a job first, or sell the house and move, then search for a job once I'm in Australia?

I can't work out the logistics of moving. I've been trying to apply for jobs beforehand, but I'm guessing with many applicants they wouldn't be interested in someone who's not in the country, as I'm having no luck.

Do I just sell the house and move then apply for jobs? Some of them want immediate start or within a month which means I can't apply if I have to give a month's notice at my current work. Just not sure what to do.
