Can I obtain an Australian Driver's License if I've been convicted of a DUI in the US?

I was convicted in 2013, my license was revoked and suspended until Nov 2014. I never served any time or was required to do community service. I'm currently going to apply for a Defacto visa with my Aussie boyfriend. If I was back in the US I would be able to obtain a license again I would just have to start from scratch. Would I be able to apply for a driver's license in South Australia even though I was convicted in 2013?
