How long do you have to live in Australia on PR before applying for Citizenship?

Hey,

I really want my Australian passport for heading to Canada because on an Australian passport you get a two-year working holiday visa but on a Kiwi passport we only get one year. Done a lot of googling but nowhere does it specify how long we have to be on PR to apply for citizenship. It seems like we can apply for it straight away as long as we apply for PR first. Just wanted to confirm this or if anyone knows more about it and can shed some light on it for me?
