Bad debt in Australia & left the country, now want to return- arrested???
Hi Can you please guide me I had a bank loan amounting $30000 in Australia and left the country for good in 2007.I went overseas and now want to return back to Australia. Will i be arrested at the Airport? Whom should i contact if i want to return safe.?

Contact the Citizens Advice Bureau in Australia & contact the debt agency that you owe the money to. Don't say you want to return to Australia. Just say you would like to set up a payment arrangement. Don't think they would arrest you though.
