Will NZ convictions prevent me getting Au jobs?
I am NZ and Au citizens. I live in NZ at the moment but am thinking of moving to Au to work next year. I have theft convictions in NZ will Au employers be able to access this information or be likely to, NB I will only pretty much be going for retail and hospitality work.

You must declare all convictions when you enter Australia, as long as you are honest and don't hide anything, they will give you an answer there and then.

It would also pay to be honest with your future employers. It can only be a yes or no.
