Subsidy For Medication
My son receives medication for his ADHD and I am on anti-depression medication. At the moment we receive these with a subsidy. Would we still qualify for this in Australia as NZ Citizens?

I can confirm that ADD medication is covered here, dexamphetemine anyway. Unsure of Ritalin, but I would presume that it is. Cost is comparable to NZ. Psychiatrist visits are much cheaper too, due to Medicare. Up front cost is still there, but a large portion is refunded if you pick a bulk billing place. If you google bulk billing psychiatrist you should find a list quite easily. For anything else maybe try contacting Medicare direct and they should let you know what is covered and what isn't.
