What do I need to take with me?
I am moving to the Gold Coast in November and I would like to know what I need to take/print out to apply for houses, jobs and anything else? will they have a record of my good credit history?
drivers license, birth cert all that usual crap. rent ledgers if you kept them, references from your last job and last place you rented. a copy of any shipment details from moving your stuff over and a copy of closing your bank account in nz (not a must) hate to be a real downer here, but unless you already have a job lined up, don't bother with the gold coast. I moved here 5 months ago, its a great place, but it has little to no work going, thankfully i got into some full time employment through a friend. Even temping/casual jobs are getting hard to get, Alot of my family and friends can't find work. sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear, just a heads up.
