Husband committed violent offense while our permanent residency application in process

My husband committed an apprehended violence order offense while our permanent residency application is in process. The offense is indicated in his police record. Will it affect our application? Can we still be approved for PR? The offense is committed just 2 mos ago when we had fight. I reported him to police just to make sure he will not hurt me again. But we're pretty much ok now. I'm just worried with our PR application because the offense has been reflected in the police record.
