Tax on converting NZ$$ to AUST$$
HI all, we have just moved over the ditch and had advice that we could be taxed on the money we have transferred over. Does anyone know if this is true or not?
Or on the other hand can we claim any amount back (not sure if we paid tax...)
Considering this money was savings from NZ I'm not sure how the tax man can tax this. Your thoughts?

NZ and AU have a tax agreement. You will not be double taxed. You can bring in as much money to AU as you want and pay no tax if that money was taxed in the other country.
