How soon do I need to open a bank account in Australia before we move over?

We are moving over to Perth in March and I was wondering if there was a certain period of time that was good for us to open a new account to transfer our funds.  Looking on this site, I realize that it is way better to have this done before we get there, but when before??

When dealing with banks before you move over, they typically advise opening an account about one month before you arrive. If you try to open an account further out than this you might be be told to leave it until closer to the time.
