461 visa - can I take my car to Brisbane with me?
My husband is kiwi and Im from Germany. I m applying for 461 visa to live in Brisbane. We have a car registered under my name. Can I take the car to Brisbane? Do I have to pay lots of import tax for the car?

@Amy - you might want to start by looking at this information from the Department of Infrastructure and Transport, if you haven't seen it already:

Generally it isn't financially worthwhile taking your car to Australia unless it holds a particular sentimental value, or has been modified etc. Otherwise the shipping and other importation costs are typically more than buying an equivalent car in Australia.
