Can you go to Australia to live if you have criminal convictions?
My partner has over 100 convictions and has served a lot of time in jail. All his connvictions are recent but we want to make a new life in Australia. Have we any chance of getting there?

Unfortunately your chances are pretty low as Australian officials tend to stop anyone moving to Australia with more than 1 year in jail. However, you can still try applying to Customs as they do decide on a case-by-case basis: http://www.australia.org.nz/wltn/VisaFAQ.html#criminal
