I am a NZ citizen but my wife only has a work permit. Can we move to Australia together?

Yes, you can. However, you need to apply for the family member visa (subclass 461) for your wife. It can be issued for up to 5 years. Your wife can work and live in Australia with only one restrication - she needs to get private medical insurance which costs about $1000 per year.
