we are only 57yrs old! will we be able to get the penison in Aussie when we retire! thanks

Have you had a look at this site?? http://www.immi.gov.au Unlikely if you are not a permanent Australian resident. The SCV (Special Category Visa issued to NZers after 2001) does not give you Permanent Australian Residency status. You can apply for a permanent visa, but if you are not on their "skills shortage list" and are over 45 years old they are unlikely to grant this!
You can still draw your NZ Super, which is calculated proportionally on your time in NZ after the age of 20 years, and is in NZD. Except for Medicare you will most likely have to be to be self-funded.
