Which visa could i move to Aus on, i'm single and have 2 young children. My mother lives in Brisbane.

Question

I want to join my mum in Brisbane but cant find a suitable visa. I have 2 children under 4. it would be just me and them moving. i dont have any of the skills on the Skilled Occupations List and dont know if theres any way i can emigrate with my mum living there. can she sponser me to work out there? any help and advice is greatly appreciated!

Are you a New Zealand citizen? If so, you don't need to apply for a visa to join your Mum in Brisbane, so long as you don't have any trouble getting an SCV. See here for more info: http://movetoaustralia.net/australian-visas/

Hi Francesca,

Is your mum an Australian citizen or permanent resident? It could be difficult for you to get a visa to Australia if you are not on the skilled list unfortunately. I would highly recommend getting the advice of an immigration agent to see if sponsorship by your mum is a possibility.
