How to claim my aged pension from New Zealand?

Now married for 3 years to my Australian wife and I will be 65 in April 2011 and need to apply for my aged pension from New Zealand, as I am not entitled to a benefit in Australia. My wife is on a disability pension. I have no employment here and we are living on my wife's pension. Can't go back to Christchurch due to the earthquake. Where can I get info on my pension from NZ?

Hi there, NZ and Australia have a social security agreement, so you should be able to claim your pension in Australia under that: http://www.centrelink.gov.au/internet/internet.nsf/international/pension_agreements.htm

There are instructions on applying here: http://www.centrelink.gov.au/internet/internet.nsf/international/pension_agreements.htm#claimover Or you can call Centrelink international on 13 1673
