Does my passport have to have at least 5 years on it before I can move?
I have been told my passport must be valid for 5 years if I am moving permanently. Is this true?

Are you a Kiwi moving to Australia? If so then this is not true. Most countries just require 6 months validity left on your passport to allow you to enter, although I couldn't find anything that says Australia requires even this long.

If you really believe that you shouldn't be Traveling alone and maybe get a bit more educated, for a start a NZ passport is on valid for 5 years now,
