What are child care and after school care costs in Australia approximately?
Hi, I'm a solo parent of a 6 year old looking at moving to Australia for a few years. Approximately how much are the after school care costs? Currently in Auckland I'm paying $16.00 per session (2:40pm-5:30pm). I would like to know if I will be able to cope financially.

I think the cost is roughly the same in Australia from what I can find from a bit of research on the web. You may be able to claim some of it back though through the Child Care Rebate http://www.familyassist.gov.au/payments/family-assistance-payments/child-care-rebate.php
