How to be Australian citizen if you are New Zealand citizen?

I understand and also in the same situation, migrated in 2002, have worked hard since, job pays 30,000 per year, pay my taxes, every year, came over for a better life, along with my daughter, she now earns beyond and is eligible for citizenship, even though i am very happy for her, i feel sad that i will not be able to join her truely knowing the job i have is not worth its weight when it was that job that supported my daughter and i over the years.
